1. Information we handle

• Account information: your email address, verification and session information, and account profile details.
• TikTok authorization: authorization credentials and permissions, linked account identifiers, profile information, and product or account information available through the permissions you grant. Authorization does not give us your TikTok password.
• Creative content: files you choose to upload, including images, video and audio; product information, prompts, project drafts, generation settings, and generated content.
• Payout and identity information, where applicable: information you provide for supported payout features, such as your legal name, identity document details and images, contact information, and bank account details.
• Technical information: information needed to operate and troubleshoot the service, such as request logs, device or application information, timestamps, errors, and network information.

Media and camera permissions are used for features you choose to use. Selecting a file does not authorize us to upload your entire media library.

2. Why we use information

We use information to authenticate accounts, maintain drafts and generated videos, connect authorized TikTok accounts, retrieve relevant product information, process AI requests, provide supported payout features, respond to support requests, secure the service, investigate failures, and meet applicable legal obligations.

When a legal basis is required, processing depends on the purpose and applicable law, including providing the requested service, your consent where required, legitimate operational and security interests, and legal obligations.

3. AI and service providers

Faro uses third-party services to provide its features. Relevant prompt and product information may be sent to DeepSeek for text assistance. Video generation requests and relevant input media may be sent to Volcengine / ByteDance Seedance. Alibaba Cloud OSS is used for cloud file storage. TikTok processes authorization and platform data under its own policies. Supported payout features may involve banking or payout service providers.

Providers receive information relevant to their role. Their own terms and privacy policies also apply to their processing. This policy does not make a blanket promise about how every AI provider uses data for model improvement. Avoid including unnecessary sensitive information in prompts or creative uploads.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights and security, or in connection with a business transfer, subject to applicable requirements.

4. Storage and retention

We retain information as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including maintaining your account and projects, resolving disputes, security, and legal obligations. Retention depends on the information and feature; we do not specify a universal retention period. Deleted information may remain in backups or records that must be retained, subject to applicable requirements.

Our service providers may process information in different countries. Applicable requirements for such processing depend on your location, the information, and the providers involved.

5. Your choices and requests

You can choose which files to upload and manage device permissions in your operating system. You can manage or revoke TikTok authorization through the relevant TikTok settings. Revoking access does not necessarily delete information already stored in Faro.

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Contact support@faroai.me for these requests, including account and associated data deletion. We may need to verify your identity and explain any information we must retain.

Where available, you may also raise a concern with your local data protection authority.

6. Security

We use access controls and other technical and organizational measures intended to protect information. No transmission or storage system is completely secure. Keep your login information secure and contact us if you suspect unauthorized account access.

7. This website and external services

This website does not include advertising trackers or an analytics integration. Language selection is reflected in the page URL. Website hosting may generate technical access logs. Links to external services are governed by those services’ policies.

8. Children

Faro is designed for creators and commercial content workflows, rather than for children. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, contact us so we can review it.

9. Policy updates and contact

We may update this policy as features or practices change. The date above identifies the current version; material changes will be communicated as appropriate.
